Dr. Jye-Chyi (JC) Lu is a Professor in the School of Industrial
and System Engineering at Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Lu
received a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the University of
Wisconsin in 1988. He has 13 years experience of directing students
on various company projects and university-industry cooperative
research programs.
Sponsors of his student-training and research programs include
GE, IBM, Nortel, Semiconductor Research Corporation (SRC), Bayer,
JDS Uniphase, National Science Foundation, etc. Companies like GE,
IBM, Glaxo-Wellcome, PPD, Nortel and Alventive employed most of his
students.
Dr. Lu has published about 41 papers in technical journals and
is the Associate Editor of IEEE Transactions on Reliability. His
current education and research interest includes sustainable
technology, enterprise engineering, information technology,
E-business and applications of statistics and information synthesis
tools to problems in production and service industries including
pulp and paper manufacturing.
