A Message from the Executive Director

I would like to take this opportunity to announce our next Center for Paper
Business and Industry Studies (CPBIS) Industry Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting, which will be held on September 25 in Atlanta at the Institute of Paper Science and Technology complex.

The general agenda for this very important meeting is as follows and the full
agenda can be accessed by going to this link: http://www.cpbis.gatech.edu/news/Agenda_IAB_meeting.pdf

PART A -- 12:30 -- 3:00 PM:
Shared Concurrent Program with the IPST Executives' Conference which will
provide for attendees at both the IPST Executives'' Conference and IAB members an overview-update of the status of the CPBIS, its key issues, a State of the Industry Address, and a close look at three key CPBIS Research Projects.

BREAK -- 3:00 -- 3:30 PM

PART B -- 3:30 -- 7:45 PM:
Core CPBIS IAB Business Meeting which will go to the heart of the issues and problems facing the CPBIS and to those issues of note to the IAB members and
invited guests. This part of the meeting will include focused breakout sessions on the research and education programs to draw out the inputs on needs and directions from the IAB members.

We really look forward to hosting this next CPBIS IAB meeting on September 25. We have made a lot of progress with the CPBIS in the past year, but we must reengage our industry partners and financial sponsors in order to make this Nobel experiment bear worthwhile fruit.

In this context, the IAB Meeting on September 25 is extremely important for all IAB members and partnering organizations.

In order to maximize the potential for widespread participation -- the CPBIS will also be web casting the September 25 IAB meeting with the new Centra Internet Platform to those of you who just cannot make it to Atlanta on September 25. Should you wish to participate via the web cast mechanism - PLEASE contact either Charley Burney or Jim McNutt as indicated above, or Bob Patterson at bob.patterson@ipst.gatech.edu, in order to work with you on the web cast itself.

See you on September 25 -- either in person or on the web!

Best regards,

Jim McNutt
Executive Director
Center for Paper Business and Industry Studies
